Live video monitoring for convenience stores

Operators watch your registers, aisles, coolers and doors in real time. Shoplifting, unrung sales, a late opening or a back door left unlocked: you hear about it while it is happening, not on tomorrow's playback.

The risk

What goes wrong at convenience stores

Convenience stores mix fast traffic, high-value small items and long opening hours, often with a single clerk. That makes them a target for shoplifting and robbery, and it makes losses from inside the store hard to see from the office.

of retailers reported more repeat offenders in 2025, even as overall shoplifting incidents fell 12.4%.

What live monitoring can and can’t do

We can

  • Spot theft by customers or staff while it happens
  • Call you during an incident and keep watching
  • Send clips and hourly reports you can act on
  • Give multi-store owners one team watching every location

We can’t

  • Detain a shoplifter, and staff should never chase one either
  • Replace your hiring checks and cash procedures
  • See what happens off camera

Privacy and compliance

Not legal advice. Have your counsel confirm the rules that apply to your site.

Our monitoring standards

  • Audio stays off by default. About a dozen states require every party to consent to audio recording, so we only listen where your state allows it and your signs say so.
  • No cameras in restrooms, changing areas or break and locker rooms, and we never monitor them.
  • Some states require written notice to employees about camera monitoring outside public areas. Connecticut’s law (§ 31-48d) is the best-known example; check your state’s rules.

Recommended hours for convenience stores

Extended Watch (18 hours) or Full Watch (24/7) fits stores that stay open late. Night Watch fits stores that close overnight and mainly worry about break-ins.

Convenience stores: common questions

Can you catch employee theft?

Operators flag suspicious behavior at the register and in the cash office and send you the clips. You make the decisions about your staff.

Do I get reports?

Yes. Hourly reports can cover purchases, walk-ins, thefts and the time the cashier spent outside the store, plus clips of anything unusual. See real examples in our portfolio.

Can I manage several stores?

Yes. Each location has its own plan, so you can choose different hours for each store.

Is there a contract or a free trial?

Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. We confirm billing and cancellation terms with you in writing before your first invoice.

What if my internet goes down?

If your recorder loses its connection, we lose the picture too. A wired connection helps. After a reset or a move, we check every camera is back online, as in this real report.
